Paper Accelerator Workshop on Gender and Entrepreneurship – 19 – 20 February 2018 at IÉSEG School of Management, Paris, France.
Dr Janice Byrne, co-chair of the ISBE Gender and Enterprise Track, organised this GEN paper accelerator workshop. It brought together scholars interested in theorizing the ways that gender stereotypes and implicit cultural beliefs affect entrepreneurial outcomes—such as entrepreneurial interests, processes, resources, or activities.
The workshop aimed to to help participants significantly improve and advance their papers, while fostering collaboration between gender and entrepreneurship academics from different national contexts. Attendees were a mix of PhD students, early career researchers and more experienced academics.
Plenary sessions were given by Dr Sara Thebaud (University of California, Santa Barbara) and Dr Sally Jones (Manchester Metropolitan University) and they were also involved in reviewing and giving feedback to delegates on their papers.
